First Annual Fundraiser a Stunning Success!

Updated 10/25/2021 The first annual fundraiser to benefit Sidewalk Warriors was held on October 19, 2021 at Franklin Terrace, and it was a stunning success! We are so humbled and grateful for the outpouring of support and generosity from our supporters. We received nearly $25,000 so far! We could not continue to do what we do each week if it wasn't for this fundraising event. We have been continually serving over 100 friends in need each and every week at our distribution events, often reaching as many as 130 served. On a semi-monthly, if not weekly basis, we are able to assist our friends with "New Beginning" startup packages which allow them a fresh start in their new location by providing bedding, towels, and kitchen set up items. The funds raised will help us as we continue to have operating expenses such as insurance, weekly need gap funding, and rental fees for storage units. We'll also be able to order needed items when our friends have specific needs such as tents, warm sleeping bags, pillows, funds to wash laundry, and even bus passes with less worry. These extra funds can now fill the gap we have each week without the fear of not having enough to provide for each and every friend in need who visits the distribution site. We look forward to new special distributions, such as offering a new set of bed sheets for each person in line, and can purchase winter boots for all that have that need. This is truly beyond remarkable.
